I am currently in the process of purchasing a commercially zoned single story building to convert into a receiving center for unwanted and stray animals. Thousands of dogs, cats, and other potential pets are put down daily in the United States. I have worked out all of the specifics of this venture, from reception all the way to care and housing. Several local pounds and shelters are already on board and the main idea is very simple. After we renovate this building and convert it to be more animal friendly, we will begin to receive animals from these local shelters. We will house and care for them, while posting ads in local pet shops, craigslist, churches, and schools. People can pick these pets up from us or have them delivered. The cost to the adopting family is $50, which collectively will help to cover the costs of vaccinations, food, veterinary care, and operating costs. 100% of the money raised here will go directly to renovations, as well as to the initial costs of running this operation. It is my vision that after some time we may be able to spread our efforts to other locations.
