My Godfather, Chris Wilson, has been dealing with a disease called Henoch Scholien Purpura for about the last 7 years. This disease is one of the most rare and fast moving kidney diseases. He went through remission after 6 months of chemo but in March 2010 he found out that he had lost 85% of his kidney function and needed a kidney replacement.
AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP: I love running and I found a charity event being sponsered by New Balance. It is a competion based on a points system. Each runner creates a profile and selects the charity they would like to donate to. I have chosen the American Kidney Foundation and I have a chance of winning $25,000.00 for this cause.
