Make-over Kachina Point and Help the Soldiers
Description:
Mary Ott, a resident of Kachina Point Nursing Home of Sedona Arizona, has a dream to help the soldiers that are returning from war. Mary's vision is to have a pool put in at Kachina Point where aquatic therapy can be provided to not only the residents of Kachina, but also soldiers and other members of the community. Mary has a bad hip and has benefitted greatly from aquatic therapy she received in the past, so she wants to give others suffering from injuries the same opportunity for healing and care she was able to receive. Mary would also like for the current rehabilition equipment to be updated. In addition to making enhancements like the pool and equipment, Mary wants to see a craft room made available to Kachina residents where all craft supplies are provided. She has expressed the need for a courtyard so residents can be wheeled out in their beds, or sit and enjoy the outdoors in a safe place that is still close to the medical staff. Mary has a lot of wishes for the residents and soldiers at her nursing home. To make these wishes come true we are asking for donations, all proceeds will be put towards the betterment of Kachina Point Nursing Home, it's residents and others in the community. Kachina already offers out-patient services in rehabilitation, so all of the changes Mary is able to make can be shared by all.
