Archaeology in the Community, Inc. is an organization dedicated to making archaeology accessible to local communities on a variety of levels, from grade school educational programs to lecture series. One area where Archaeology in the Community, Inc has seen a need and would like to peruse providing aid is in helping undergraduate students in archaeology attend field school.

Attending field school is a crucial part in the training of archaeologists. Many field schools occur during the summer when financial aid is often not available from universities. In an effort to help archaeology students obtain this important training the organization is starting a scholarship which will cover field school tuition.
